It’s easy to find a cheap hotel north or east of Atlanta. One of the best options is the Comfort Inn near the Doraville MARTA station at the I-85, I-285 N interchange. Here rates on weekdays or weekend average under $100 per night. There are a variety of cheap hotels near the Dunwoody and Sandy Springs MARTA stations that are under $100 per night as well. The cheapest is the Microtel where rates can dip below $70 depending on the day. The MARTA station in the suburban hub of Decatur has hotels between $100 and $150 per night. There are several restaurants and casual dining options in downtown Decatur.

Cheap Hotels in Downtown Atlanta Near the MARTA

It’s possible to find a room for under $100 per night on weekdays or weekend in downtown Atlanta as long as you stay at Motel 6. Just down the street from the nearby Hilton the Motel 6 also offers free parking. The average cost of a standard room in downtown Atlanta is $175 per night, but also expect to pay for parking at all hotels except the Motel 6. The best all around value in downtown is the Holiday Inn Express. Hotels in Midtown near the Midtown, North Avenue and Arts Center stations are often the same cost as downtown hotels and parking is not free in Midtown either.

Cheap Hotels Near Atlanta Airport MARTA

The only hotel within walking distance to the MARTA closest to the airport is Hotel Indigo. Guests can anticipate spending $100 to $130 for a standard room. To access the airport guests will need to catch the MARTA at the College Park station a few blocks from the hotel and ride one station south to the airport. There is not much notable around the College Park MARTA, or Hotel Indigo.
